WCOOP Profile: Jellybeans for everybody! |
|
"Long term, I hope to start a business that changes the world with money I earned from poker over the years," he said. "In the short term, I'll probably buy lots of jelly beans." What a grand concept. Not only is there an altruistic motive going forward, there's also...jellybeans. Fan-freaking-tastic. We haven't priced it out yet, but we're pretty sure $64,000 buys a lot of jellybeans. Regardless, that's how much Kevin "iacog4" Iacofano won in the $215 WCOOP fixed limit hold'em contest. "To set winning a major tournament like this as a goal at the beginning of the year and finally win it felt outstanding," Iacofano said. "At the time though, my mind was numb from so many limit hands and the grind that is associated with winning that type of tournament that it didn't quite sink in."
Two years ago Iacofano graduated from Miami University of Ohio. After years of playing poker with family and friends while in high school, Iacofano discovered online poker while in college. Now, two years removed from his diploma, he's turned himself into a full time poker player. At the beginning of 2009, set out a list of goals for himself. The first goal was: 1. Win 1 major online tournament series event including the UBOC, FTOPS, WCOOP, SCOOP "After winning an event, I did set a goal of winning the entire WCOOP leader board despite not being able to play some of the events," he said. Good luck to Iacofano. And, hey, man...save some jellybeans for us, yeah? |
