PokerStars hosts Kent Senter benefit

If you have reached adulthood and your life takes a unimaginable, terminal turn, it's rare to find yourself in a position where one of your lifelong dreams comes true. For Kent Senter, it happened.

You might have heard about Senter, a man on the top of the world with a good wife and family, who found out two years ago that he is going to die much sooner than he ever imagined. Stricken with tumors all over his spine, Senter suffers a terminal cancer. He's going to be gone long before he should've been,

His dreams were as big as traveling into space and playing in the Main Event of the World Series of Poker. Between a loving wife, Bluff Magazine, and PokerStars, Senter got that WSOP chance this year and made it to Day 2 of the Main Event.

With the 2009 WSOP now mostly behind us, it might be easy to forget about the man and what he faces. Instead, PokerStars and Bluff have organized a benefit tournament to help the Senter family combat his rising medical costs.

We'd encourage you to take a little time and a small piece of your bankroll to help a man who loves poker in a way we hope we never have to.

Structure: $10 buy-in with $10 re-buys for the first hour, standard speed

Prize Pool:

1st place: Buy-in to the PokerStars WCOOP Main Event
2nd Place: Seat to a WSOP Academy provided by Bluff Magazine
3rd Place: PokerStars tournament credit voucher for $1000
4th Place: PokerStars tournament credit voucher for $500
5th Place: PokerStars tournament credit voucher for $300
6th Place: PokerStars tournament credit voucher for $200

All players who reach the final table will also receive a free year subscription to Bluff Magazine and Fight magazine courtesy of Bluff.
