Pokerstars realizes that not everybody will be available to participate in the target event so they give you the option to unregister from the target event and credit your account with target event buy-in amount in T$. Macau Poker Cup ready for October

ps_news_thn.jpgPokerStars is set to kick off satellites that could get you playing in China's first-ever live poker room in the Macau Poker Cup Red Dragon Main Event October 22-25.

Word has just crossed the wire that PokerStars will be hosting Red Dragon event satellites that will get winners into the main event and give them a hotel room for two nights. Those qualifiers will be running every Monday and Wednesday night. If you happen to be in Macau, you will be able to play in live satellites in the PokerStars Macau poker room on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Sundays.

The Red Dragon Main event boasts a $1,000,000 (HKD) guarantee, but last time it eclipsed that number and climbed to more than $1.5 million (HKD).

The regular Red Dragon Main Event has grown rapidly since it moved to the Grand
Lisboa hotel. The number of entrants almost doubled from 57 at the end of 2008 to 112
in March 2009. Then, July saw that number beat again with 158 players.

The poker room has again increased its capacity for the tournaments. In the old days it could fit 150 players plus alternates. Now it can hold 200 plus alternates, and the people behind the event are feeling confident they'll need to space.
